I hate all the ads I see. (Except few ads on shopping site/supermarkets only, because it's designed for the buying in the proper place)

Any ads on public transports are tyranny. They force people to see them, people have no rights to not see them. I think we should invent a concept of "the rights of not seeing ads in public space".

Since I know most of those ads are just selling SHIT, I started to hate them. Making shitty products from China/Bangladesh/Taiwan/etc, selling them from 3 times the making cost with shitty ads bombarding. Why there are so many easy targets folks mentioned on Shoplifting forum? Because the cost is so low, they don't really care the security.Shame on them.

I blocked all ads from the internet.

Ads are awful and the marketing people who make them are even worse.

The type I hate the absolute most are the "cool, interesting" viral ads. I hate that ads are even mentioned as culturally significant in any way

I don't know your budget, but I thought Hulu offered an upgraded level that gets rid of all ads? Or does it only get rid of some?

That's the main reason I never got Hulu. I only want commercial-free streaming services.

In real life there's not much I can (safely) do about billboards, signs, and so forth.

On the web the real answer is to stay on sites and services that are ad-free. That just severely limits my options - but most of the things with ads really aren't worth the effort anyway.

....now I just need to convince all of my friends and family to get on open source social networks. How hard can that be? (Ha!)

No. I figure using a website is an explicit transaction. They provide something I want, and I either pay by buying a subscription or else by viewing ads. If the site has lots of ads, I don't want to support them but the correct thing to do is just leave the site.
