Ok capitalists! If you don't stop destroying the planet, we won't come to work tomorrow!

I think of the brave anarchists of previous times and their actions during times which comparably to today were much more sustainable (if socially more repressed) and think how much could they take today before starting a revolution.

There are people today carrying on the struggle, but I just think, how would the ones who attacked the established past react and work to overthrow what we have in the present

Pure, raw rage. The planet is dying . Capitalism shifts into high gear. Fascism on the rise, capitalism shifts into high gear. Earth quakes from fracking, wildfires making cities look like Hell, oil spills destroying our seas. Innocent people murdered daily because of the colour of their skin or religious tendencies. Meanwhile people go about their lives as normal. As though we aren't on the fucking precipice of a horrific and devastating near future.

...yeah, I feel what you feel.

Don't allow industry to operate. Swarm. Occupy. Block. Stop paying for consumer goods, just take them. Stop driving, instead pile cars on top of each other to block the roads. Close all the trade avenues so industry can't profit. Drive every polluter to bankruptcy.

Declare a year of rage.

This is our revolution. Our one, last chance.

Industry, global consumerism, trade, travel, capitalism, it all needs to be rendered obsolete or all life on this planet is going extinct.

Anarchist of previous times weren't pacified by the glow of their ipads and msg. If people don't ditch the bread and circuses they'll never fight.

How do we organize this? This is the only tactic that is going to have any chance of affecting change. Protest doesn't work. We need to deny the industrialists their power. Their power is the economy. It has to be tanked.

Cognitive dissonance. They've lived their whole lives with the conveniences and comforts of consumer society and even though they know it's completely destructive and short-sighted to live in this unsustainable manner, they can't allow themselves to imagine a world without those privileges.

Addiction. Even if the population of the global south has been enslaved and terrorized to produce it. Even if the whole planet is on fire and entire countries are about to sink underwater. They have to have their screens, their jets, their air conditioners because to them, that's what life is now. Escape. Distraction. Instant dopamine releases to numb the crushing reality of life under industrialism.

Peaceful 'rebellion' won't change anything. Industry brutalizes all life on this planet 24/7. They are driving every lifeform to extinction. They bulldoze the forests to manufacture deodorant and toothpaste. Asking them nicely to stop making the shit we consume is useless. We need to stop consuming it. We need to stop consumption, period. Put an end to all commerce. Developers, manufacturers, energy interests, banking, factory farms. It's not going anywhere until we stop feeding it, stop accepting it as normal and necessary. It's killing us, it's killing everything. Industry has to stop.

Yeah, tbh, I think the Non-Violent part is legal cover at best and naivety at worst. My country is literally talking about rolling out the army to bust unions, and is fracking in spite of tremors, rebellion needs more rebellion.

We must not allow anarchism to be alienated from the working class. If we threaten capitalism without enough support, we will be smeared, and these smear campaigns will be believed widely. Even then, many people would be horrified if they saw what seemed like meaningless “violence”, so it is essential to give our efforts a respectable light. Without this, our action will only be criminalised and hated. Of course, it will be criminalised anyways, but it would be viewed as just, and this would cause anarchists to be viewed as opponents rather than upholders of a peaceful society. In conclusion, we must think before acting, not covering our eyes opaque terror. This only brings a healthy earth farther and farther into the future, to say the least.

Hi, posting from the uk here. I want to tear down this system as much as the next guy. However I figure, the moment you show disregard for human life you are no better tHan the agenda 21 illuminati global depopulation crowd. (Look it up.) Don't delude yourself into thinking war has ever solved anything and public violence will simply result in martial law. If you think that the right wing is bad now then you will never really be able to understand life under a military autocracy. What exists in the western world is but a pale shadow of that but heading in that direction still. Actual violent protest is the last step that will give the rulers of this planet the excuse to tighten their grip. We have to be much smarter than that. Much, much smarter. Thinking outisde the box? You need to think outside of the dimension. Trade war? Ideas war? Shits more complex than its ever been. Though if you really want to see the system grind to a halt what you need is unionisation and industrial action. Unless you are living under bolsonaro in which case get out there and bring me 100 nazi scalps. Solidarity.

I hear you and sympathize but have you considered that you are dead in the water anyway? Even if they tighten their grip, even if every nation becomes a police state, the alternative is death. It just doesn't feel like it yet because when you open a faucet it still has running water.

We'll be smeared by our rulers and their forces no matter what we do.

This is beyond building class awareness, we are already experiencing mass extinction on a scale never before seen. When the collapses hit home, the rich will genocide every one of us in a desperate attempt to save themselves.

It's time to stop thinking educating the working class is going to save us. There's no revolution coming. Only starvation. The rich will survive the chaos ahead. We won't. When they no longer need our labor, they'll let us starve.

They have enough wealth to insulate themselves for several generations. We have nothing. The moment the food is gone, we die.

The feedback loops ALREADY underway make it pretty certain the planetary autoclave has been activated. The "perma"frost is melting and pockets of methane are exploding now. Rain-forests are drying out and bursting into flames. 12 years left to save Earth? In 12 years will we figure out how to travel back in time and assassinate the climate Hitlers that launched the omnicide?

They will survive slightly longer than the rest of us, but only until their photovoltaics systems and the air-scrubbers and aquaponic systems in their underground bunkers break down and there are no more of us around to fix them. In the geologic/evolutionary scale, they will die when they finish killing us.

ziq wrote

It is so unjust that the mega industrial states caused all this and they are insulated enough to survive the effects the longest.

I have exactly the thing. We simply do a giant migrant caravan from capitalism. We encourage everybody who is so tired and broken up about the lives that we have now, to go camping indefinitely at the Grand Canyon. It's been postulated that if 10% of the global workforce said, "Fuck you, I quit!", and completely left the workforce, it would trigger a global recession. That sort of shit could ruin a lot more than a country. So, that's what I'm pushing for. We plan, we get permits, we arm up, we stock up, and in about 3-6 months, we're on strike from the world at large. The easiest way for this is a roster, massive outreach messages, and a resource pool, where our comrades that have more than they need at the moment can help others in our group. If everybody is seriously preparing for life away from the way things are right now, then we need to push that people actually adopt a different lifestyle that is actually balanced with our planet and gives us community and purpose. We can do it, we just need to actually get faith in something and convince everyone around ourselves to just take a big step away from the world that is going to kill them and into one that will save them. That's it. No malice, no government overthrow, just a long vacation until we get a new society up and running. We can do it, especially in this day and age. We're global. We can help people escape what they have now and join us somewhere else in almost no time comparatively, and when this happens, the system will crumble and have no one to lash out at. It doesn't even have to be in one place either! We could do this all across the globe for as long as we need to.

ziq wrote (edited )

why do you need permits to drop out of society? just curious, I'm not an American so idk how stuff works there.

I like the idea of a dropout march tho.

It depends on where the field is. For example, in the town where I live, it would be risky to squat a field directly next to the road, but there are usually no police here, so unless someone found them and thought these people were threatening, they would be mostly safe. Even then, a forest would be preferable to a field, at least to squat temporarily, as many places within them can be far from any road, making it difficult for the police to find the squat, especially if they are not even in the town in the first place.

Oh ho, but! There's a seed vault there that contains primarily southwestern food crops which the Hopi have been utilizing for thousands of years. They have been known to be fairly peaceful with visitors, so I think that as long as we stay polite and respectful that they'll be mostly ok with teaching us ways to survive.

Yeah, it's the epitome of privilege, but it's true. As long as you have paperwork/ money, holy shit can you just do what the fuck ever you want. So, that's where this moment of brilliance shines through. We're not homeless, we're vacationing. And when we feel refreshed enough to return back to society, then we will do so. i.e. You need us way more than we need you, and good luck finding help without us. That way, we've set up our public perception and behavior from the very beginning in the right way. No aggression at all, but fully ready to fight back. Leave us alone; you can't force us to work for you, one way or another.

The worse things get the more likely governments are to brutalize you back into the workplaces. The US labor history is one of violent government repression. Arguably the worst of all the industrialized countries. And one of armed resistance.

I think, in the US at least, the working class will need to organize a massive general strike and be prepared to defend ourselves.

And the government doesn't need an excuse to get violent. If it wants to do it it will and bull shit an excuse later.

The big question is how do you stop feeding it, when it has engraved itself so deeply in our lives. We have to eat, and most people don't, and can't produce their own food. For every piece of food you thus eat, for every spraycan you buy, you are giving a part of it to the state, a part to the corporation producing the item, and only a -small part to the actual producers. How do you even destroy that?

Sometimes i actually think that those Islamic extremists are having it partly right. You need these kind of symbols. Attacks on the illusion of safety and routine that the machine provides. We need to blow up factories. We need to attack governmental buildings and infrastructure. Cops and politicians need to be shot. All this together with growing alternative horizontal structures while helping your brothers and sisters.

We've got a lot of work to do.

Recently someone posted on A-news about how the NSA already has yr e-habits in a template and can tell when you weren't doing your "normal" e-stuff. So its important a) to begin to randomize your e-behavior and b) take increasingly lengthy breaks from your e-stuff, to add space to your e-template. I would let close contacts know in-person. Will buy u some time anyway. death to the system.

Oddly enough, you can just walk right up to it. If you really want to be super duper prepared you can just order some of what they have and bring it with you. Here's the link: https://www.nativeseeds.org While it is in Tuscon, it's not that bad of a trip across the desert. 6ish hours by car or 5 days on foot from the Grand Canyon. Anyway, my main idea is to go full permaculture, based on what the Hopi say about how those native plants grow best, but I'm also planning to keep another group of crops growing hydroponically as a little bit of insurance, juuuuust in case we can't grow quite enough the good old fashioned way.

Lol I mean, they stick around if there's food and a place to sleep. Those happy little bastards don't care what goes on around them. Plus, I would just keep them mostly for eggs and poopy to grow the rest of my crops.

I started with 2 ducks and they bred and now I have 10. I'd have more if some of them hadn't flown away. They don't sit on the eggs until they've finished laying a full clutch, so if you take them, they just keep laying until they hit that number (6-10).

I trade the eggs or feed them to my dogs.
