I suppose that's a fair point, and maybe he didn't think it through very thoroughly (understandably so), but I still support any and all actions against zoos and liberating animals from them, and he had good intentions.
Other articles mention dirt and decay in place he kept these animals, several being dead... i do not know if i agree good intentions. Love animals does not mean know how to care for or have ability, and can contribute to horrible markets for endangered species and species that not even domesticated (= even less used to humans, and people have even less knowledge on care). I love animals too but not right if i pick up baby turtle from outside and say my pet now.
Fair point. Guess it's pretty murky.
But then again, zoos are not known for taking good care of their prisoners to begin with. Might've not been very well off either way.
I don't like zoos but I'm a lot more troubled by animals used in research. I wish I had the courage to liberate some. I never did but I have nothing but admiration for those who do.
I'm troubled by both, although research is a lot more openly brutal, whereas zoos are more implicitly brutal and the brutality lies in the concept and behind the scenes, whereas the horrors of vivisection are able to be seen right away and are hard to hide. And yes, I agree. Those who liberate animals are my heroes, and I respect them immensely. Takes so much courage and knowledge I doubt I'll ever have, and I have no ill will towards those people. Anarchists who do have a problem with it...well, I don't understand it.
Why call people that word
Sorry, my apologies :( Didn't realize
