In 2013, Anita Sarkeesian published a video series titled Tropes v. Women in Video Games on the YouTube channel Feminist Frequency. Soon after, right-wing creators such as Carl Benjamin AKA Sargon of Akkad, made anti-feminist anti-SJW propaganda videos attacking Sarkeesian, and painting out feminists and social justice activists as a threat to video games.
This was a masterful stroke of evil genius. People could start out watching gaming videos, then get recommended right-wing commentary on their YouTube feed. If they watch the right-wing videos, the algorithm will recommend more of that content, gradually transforming their YouTube feeds into a far-right propaganda channel.
From 2005-2012, anarchists had a chance to exploit the algorithm and create our own propaganda networks before the fash jumped on it. We squandered and wasted our opportunity, and now we’re playing defence, leftist YouTube creators are deradicalising people from the far-right, when they should have been recruiting them into the revolution. Anarchists should have went on the offensive, before the fascists even got started.
What do we do now? BreadTube is trying their best to get people out of the far-right, but we need to get people into anarchism.
I’m worried that we’ll lose, simply because fascists had a massive headstart. We are playing catch-up with propaganda and recruitment. Hopefully we can eventually balance out the algorithm, but we really should have tipped it in our favour when we had the opportunity.
Sigh.

The answer is simple.
The original mario levels are linear moving from the left side of the screen to the right side of the screen.
If the pipelines in mario went to the left mario would easily get stuck in an infinite loop unable to leave the level. The game would tank.
Thus, out of sheer design necessity, we can only have pipelines that ultimately move to the right. This right ward movement allows for one to actually complete the level.
