I had a thought that it feels like the anarchist tendency of affiliating by economic distribution is a concession to Marx. But I could be way off base.

I could probably look this up but I've been reading legal documents and doing legal writing for 10 hours a day all week so my brain is mush.

Arguably Marxism. The manifesto was written in 1848, anarchist communism really only emerged along with anarchism in the 1870s. Though there have been precursors and pioneers like Joseph Déjacque. Anarchists came before Marxists but anarchism came after Marxism sort of thing.

If we think of Anarcho-Communism as starting specifically with Kropotkin, then yes. But if we're thinking, as Marx did, that Anarchy was a natural condition of Communism that it predated him by quite a bit.

Anarcho-communism, 10000%.

As I understand it, Marxism was a 19th-century concession towards authority, a further attempt to direct the peoples' desire for freedom towards a specific way of being.

Anarchy + an economy of sharing, is older than the human species. Although, in days of old, people were far less absolute than today, and were fine mingling "communism", with trade over longer distances.

Probably better to recognize ideas about human history as ideology (in a broad sense). That is to say, people recognizing communism anywhere in human history is tied to the emergence of communism as a set of ideas, as philosophy, as ideology. The term communism really only began to have currency in the late 18th and early 19th century, even if a bit difficult to recognize early communisms being related to 'ours'.

Might as well say nihilism is the earliest anarchism, because there really was nothing. Or primitivism is the most original anarchism, because things were primitive. Or Christian anarchism, because God made us all equal.

Recognize the ideological framing and then place it in history.

The ideas behind ancomism existed for thousands of years. Marx called it "primitive communism."

Of course, ancomism was the idea we should move from a capitalist system to communism. There's no way the ideology existed as we know it until 19th-century peasants got pissed off about being made into wage workers. This would date the general concept to be a little older than the general idea of Marxism imo.
