I'm also scared of social situations, and sometimes disagree with the structure of certain social situations, such as meetings. As a personal observation, I find that anarchists often reject the arguably bureaucratized notion of "getting involved" in an "affinity group", and that I more just consider them my woke friends now.
There is less of an agenda and meeting schedule, and more sharing tea or dinners, singing, knitting or drawing. Then, occasionally you end up occupying a tree together, as the city is trying to chop down a forest, sitting on a swing eating brown bananas. I find that the vibe / ambiance is spontaneous, playful and supportive amongst green anarchist nihilists or whatever you call them.
How to get involved? Find your nearest local vegan cafe on HappyCow and check their wall for posters or flyers perhaps? Is there not already something evil happening right in your back yard, like fracking or an arms fair or industrial pig farm, that green anarchists would be trying to shut down?
