Reply to comment by zoom_zip in What happened to Anarchism? by Kinshavo

Three things 1.) the article is shared on Anews, but from Gods and Radicals (therefore, the "bad takes" is not actually from Anarchist News. 2.) What are the other consistent bad takes from Anews? Would love to hear! 3.) Added your original comment to list of consistent bad takes from zoom_zip

So you didn't actually respond to my question or follow up your shite talking statement, so I will take it that you have nothing and just appreciate trolling other anarchist projects in forums.

i’m an individual. of course i have bad takes. here’s the difference: when people call me out for my bad takes i don’t use it as a springboard to start throwing shit. i try to learn from it where i can. secondly, i’m just posting shit takes on a forum, not claiming to be “news”. you don’t really care what other bad takes i think you have, do you? you just want to get defensive and start an argument. i don’t want to bite. and then you call me a troll to try and discredit my opinion, while you’re the one slinging insults. have some self awareness. reflect; maybe you’ll be able to see what the bad takes are for yourself instead of throwing up walls.

Sooo, just to be clear - you said Anews has consistent bad takes, I asked you to share and pointed out that the text wasn't actually from Anews, just shared there (so you were categorically wrong in your statement). Then, you didn't actually respond, I called you out on your comment as just trolling and meaningless talking shite (Anews gets plenty of this as black sheep of anarchy), and now you're telling me to reflect... OKAY. I have reflected and I'm glad this conversation is over.

I thought this was a pretty bad take on covid.

Is it a bad take if they are open ended questions (Topic of the Week) to get people thinking / chatting?

Well, these open-ended questions still point in a certain direction. I can easily put together some more of these open-ended questions about covid: "Does covid really exist? Perhaps there may be other causes, such as 5G?" Open-ended questions are the first and best tool in the conspiracy theorist drawer.

AN's take is pretty much "I want my freedom to go and infect restaurant workers with a potentially lethal virus."

Not only are such conveniences as bars and restaurants now often behind the barrier of a vaccine card, increasingly even those working remotely are required to show proof of vaccination.

First, this framing is not about food security, but about the privilege of having other people serve food to you at their place, and about your freedom to go there and eat while putting the workers at that place at risk (because take-away is not freedom..?!). I just think it's a terrible take all the way through.

Exactly, the Anews post was a topic of the week to raise some discussion around the issue not an ativaxx propaganda. Even the post that everyone talk is the statement from the group that carried the action not anyone from Anews if I am not mistaken.

I don't mind now and then one controversial topic to stir discussion
