It's good in some contexts, i.e. ones with quite a lot of equipment, training, ability to maintain and replace pumps and sensors, ability to order water-quality tests etc. It really requires trained staff.

So things like what Eric Maundu and Will Allen are doing is cool, but it's not accessible to everyone. There are much more accessible ways to grow food. Source: experience.
