well, it guarantees conditionally, upon the basis of a mode of production. As we have seen with the global economic depression, there can be simultaneous demand and supply shocks which uproot millions from housing and food security despite financialization, and erase wealth and savings in a very short amount of time.

i think it really depends, there are people of means who have also lost a lot due to what has happened, and they stand to lose far more in the most likely future
