From what I read it's not really accurate. They only set a dumpster on fire in front of the building. It didn't spread to the cop shop.

I think the news just gets bored.

I mean, obviously there are many factors influencing what the media reports on, and some of it definitely has to do with what does or doesn't support the status quo, but I think the biggest factor is just market forces and the fact that "protests continue in some places" is not really news, except to those who are semi-directly involved.

When leftists suggest an explicit, planned "black out" it not only looks incorrect & conspiratorial, but also undermines efforts to point out that problems like racism, media bias, and so on are systemic rather than always being the result of explicit & deliberate actions by "bad guys."

Note the wording of "set on fire" rather than "burned down." If the precinct had been fully burned down, like the 3rd in Minneapolis, then that would definitely be "news" and it would be weird for it not to be reported. But the article only states that "one side" of the precinct was set on fire, and even that is a bit of an exaggeration if this local news source is to be believed; it looks like the fire was set "in a bin on the north side" of the precinct, which is hardly newsworthy to the general public on the national level.
