I think interpersonal pacifism protects abusers in the same way as nonviolence protects the state. I want to abolish hierarchy, not abolish violence. Violence will be reduced when hierarchy is dramatically reduced, not the inverse. Just my hot-take, but I will share this article and the Celeste piece linked below, because many people need to hear these points. Clarification: interpersonal pacifism is when self defense is precluded because "reasons". Does not need to be explicitly pacifist philosophy.
