I can't do specifics (Which region mostly as well as things I've sworn/signed oaths on) because I could be found out and I'd rather not risk it to be honest. I've spent a lot of years of my life around the police service and have worked with and for them in the past (I was young and dumb but if I never did it, I wouldn't think/know what I do now). I have a lot of shit on them and look forward to your questions :)

Little edit: I may be a bit late on replies since I'm using tor and my internet is very bad (Not a good combo) and will only check it daily (If I can)!

Late edit: Thanks for the questions everyone! I had fun doing this, I'll just leave this account for now and start with a new one where no one knows who I am! Thanks again all of you!

p.s. Tor is a true blessing and many of those within the police service would rather the internet be like the internet in China to make their jobs easier.

What changed your mind?

I'd have to say that seeing what the officers are like and what so many of them believe and how they act. Every single one enters the police service thinking "I'm going to help people and improve the nation!" but they end up becoming power-hungry (to put it the best way I can). They think they're above every other person just because of what their job is and it really fucks up the relationship between the service and communities they police in many cases. They do public events to "improve relations" but they usually stick newer recruits (The ones who aren't yet horrible people) and those who can put on a good facade (Which is many of them from what I've learned). They really, really enjoy dishing out punishments to people, even for things that aren't that serious, they laugh when they have to/can take a vehicle from someone who needs it. It's not just a smile from a job well done and making the world a better place, no, It's joy in using their power and now the UK is on lockdown thanks to coronavirus, they are loving the extra powers that they have. There is so much more wrong but that's probably the most notable and off-putting for me.

How racist are they behind closed doors?

So they're pretty much exactly like the cops in the US everywhere else. I imagine that there's a racialized element to their policing as well, but I don't really research that sort of thing. Anyways, thanks for answering and welcome to raddle!

Knowing the nature of this site after a bit of browsing, A bit and also not very (if that makes any sense, but it will I'm sure). You get some anti-Muslim sentiments from some of the older officers but more and more are retiring and that culture's dying out within the service. With newer officers from about 2012-2016/7, they tend to be a bit more critical and hostile towards white people and a lot more apologetic and lenient with those from minority groups but a recent trend I have noticed is an increase in some far-right ideas surfacing in a few people and will no doubt spread despite efforts to cleanse the service of it. It also depends on the area, cities have those officers who are more critical of white people and other areas have seen a slight but significant rise of far-right thought (although hidden to be behind closed doors).

Pretty much and thanks! although I may change accounts after this just to be safe. The monitoring they have going on is pretty grand and there's little doubt that they're monitoring this place too considering the political nature of the site.

What about cops putting drugs they confiscate in their own pockets?

What are a couple of your most interesting/demonstrative anecdotes about them?

Do you know or have you spoken to any of the officers who help keep the biannual DSEI (or DPRTE, etc) arms fair open? Have you ever heard any officers expressing any worries about helping to keep the British arms trade running?

Do you have a rough idea how many undercover officers are currently deployed, and if any are currently active in anti-arms trade groups?

Just comply with them. Don't argue and give them the satisfaction of making you angrier and putting you in a more erratic state of mind. Stay quiet and obey them. They may pressure you to talk, you don't have to most of the time although it will likely result in a trip to the local station.

I have no idea about any of that in all honesty. Many of them were quiet when it came to talking about arms unless they were in training to be deployed with firearms. It was fairly quiet and since firearms weren't my general area, I have no idea on the general opinion except that a good amount did like the idea of being armed like many other forces in the world.

When it comes to undercover officers, it's a few hundred at best guess from what I've been told and I'm not sure but I wouldn't put it past them. They're in many left-wing and right-wing groups, that's just common knowledge at this point.

Not that I know of. Very few ,if any, keep anything and pretty much everything gets destroyed. Many are so heavily anti-drug to a point where I'm surprised that they don't hate antibiotics.

There are a few to choose from that I would tell you if they weren't so personal. I'm sorry but some would single me out and possibly expose who I am. It's for my own safety and I hope you understand.

I do like watching a YouTube channel called "Crimebodge" though, he exposes some of the shady stuff the police get up to. I'd suggest you check him out if you're interested in learning about how horrid the police service here is.

Do they beat their wives?

Not that I know of. I do believe a lot of them enjoy arresting people and asserting power that way so that may lead them to be less angry at home. They usually have pretty happy home lives.
