Calls against police brutality and racism is ignored.

Once people start fighting back is when the government decides something needs to be done.

But not to end the poverty that drives people to drug trafficking and crime...

The answer is more police.

Also... savage? Really?

the attack was another sign of the “great savageness” he claims is undermining French values

Hell yea.

Barbarian & savage might be the most potent anti-civ anarchist imagery imo.

I was more concerned about calling the attack savage considering this was a neighborhood of mostly immigrant and minority background.

How often to hear of police or military attacks being described as savage?

Well yea, it's racist as fuck, but they - the civilized - are our enemies. Barbarian & savage have always been words used to describe the enemies of colonizers, states, civil society, etc. I was just being cheeky about wanting French values undermined. I don't like the usual "no we're the civilized ones!" reaction, the cops can keep their claim to that status.

“The police are the (French) Republic and the Republic is the police,”
