Macron’s government is still letting corporations pollute to their hearts' content and he is not taxing them at all. French workers rightly think that it’s ridiculous that the burden is being placed on (low income) individuals, especially rural citizens who need cars to commute to their jobs in the cities (as capitalism centralizes work) to feed their families, while the big polluters get to burn all the carbon they want and aren't even taxed since Macron mad massive cuts on taxes for the rich when he got elected.
