I hate fascists, red and brown, and have a passion for history; especially libertarian history. Probably going to post in /f/history if I ever do get to writing.

Hello, here are four unrelated facts about me:

I like tomatoes. I don't get enough exercise. At least once a day I think "fuck being alive". I'm poly.

I meant like specifically in that line, did you mean to write "I'm asexual but not aromantic"?

I'm just not sure what it means yet

What asexuality means? It's an orientation the same as {bi/homo/hetero}sexuality. I obviously can't speak for Tequila_Wolf but having your own preferences shouldn't be insulting to anyone.

Funny, I tried it for the first time ever less than two weeks ago. It was so-so, but I think that's just because I'm unfamiliar with it.

And pleased to meet you.

It's a simple dish but very hard to do good. Many commercials places use tricks to do the tedious parts faster, but it removes of the overall taste. Also, the meat. Chicken is awful for a mofongo, a pork chicharron is better, but very greasy. A meatless version is also good, but the cooker must know the right amount of spices to make it taste like the real thing.

My family usually goes to places that sell mofongo ( it's a typical dish here), and out of 20 places we've been only 2 are actually good.

Interesting. The place I went to said it was just a mashed, fried, mashed, and fried again plantain dish with spices. It didn't taste bad, but it wasn't great either.

It is, but we do those steps only once. Maybe add some meat. Cassava mofongo is also very good, easier to make delicious. But will make you sleepy if you're not used to eat cassava.

The person that sold it to me said it's an unusually heavy food and small portions go a long way. She said most new customers complain when they see the size of the platter and then complain how stuffed they are when they finish.

That's the wonder of platain and why it's a staple food here.

parent, work in tech, raised Catholic and Republican, became an atheist, became a market libertarian, became a Democrat, became a socialist for lack of finding anything better, flirting with anarcho-communism (edit: or maybe parecon).

Aside from focusing on free-as-in-freedom software over proprietary technology I'm not sure how to be an activist for what I believe.

My username is a play on "Conan the Destroyer". I envision Edmund as Conan's lesser known cousin, a cabbage farmer.
