Who banned /u/somanythings and why? And why isn't it in the moderation log?

Is it possible they weren't banned and it was a tor IP ban?

Hi u/somanythings,

I've temporarily unbanned you so that you can do the deletions you want. In a few days you will be rebanned. I don't know the circumstances of your banning and don't have the time to get involved but assuming you don't abuse this unbanning there should be no problems.

I recommend you use Tor to delete your posts, often it's possible to delete several at a time that way, instead of waiting for the page to reload for each one.

They were banned, it wasn't just an IP thing. I still am not sure why since I wasn't around when it happened, but I assume the reason was good. I unbanned them so that they could delete their account as a favour, then rebanned them and retired their username.

I think it won't be in the moderation log because the ban log clears when they are unbanned, and now their current ban is a retired account.

I'm interested to know why you care.

I couldn't remember who they were and because the username was retired, had no way to refresh my memory. Thought maybe it was an ip ban false positive since it wasn't in the mod log. I vaguely remember them now thanks to your link. There have been so many trolls lately, they're starting to all blend together.
