Is this because the rich are terrible at making good tech decisions? The control apple keeps on the devices (let alone the ridiculous prices) have turned me away for a long time. It has always seemed like the bad decision in tech. If I had the money, I'd aim for one of those open source hardware devices that you never find in stores. My dream is stop depending on hardware still pretty much owned by the manufacturer.
Yeah, there's tons of poor people with iPhones, especially in countries with carrier subsidies. They get locked in to bad contracts AND the apple ecosystem at the same time.
