Haven't watched anime in a couple years actually, this'd be a great excuse to get back into it.
I've only seen Hourou Musuko (damn heart-strings), but I've heard good things about the other two.
I think rewatches should stick to average-length/short series, around 12 episodes. That's give people plenty of chances to catch up and join a rewatch from the start, and also not leave us all bogged down in some ridiculously long series. If a short series is bad, there'll only be 12 episodes, so you could pretty easily skip it-- but if it's long as hell and is bad... well, that'd suck.
Yeah, you're probably right about sticking to short series. My main reason for selecting Bara no Versailles was because of the historical and political themes.
I guess actually Gundam 0080: War in The Pocket might be quite a good option, it's only 6 episodes and it deals with the politics of war through the eyes of civilians.
