Microsoft Windows: GNU/Linux url depends on the distro

I think everyone knows what GNU/Linux is at this point so I will skip this but I will recommend to pick as free of a distro as possible. A good compromise is Debian GNU/Linux which beside being a great project that separates free and non free components from each other. This allows someone to run a full free system easily if they chose. The free iso is https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/release/current/amd64/iso-cd/debian-9.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso and the non-free iso is https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/cd-including-firmware/current/amd64/iso-cd/firmware-9.3.0-amd64-netinst.iso

if you really hate yourself and want to run a meme OS that doesnt work try Debian GNU/Hurd! https://www.debian.org/ports/hurd/
