PureOS, the operative system by Purism, the team that has brought you the Librem laptops, has received the seal of approval from the Free Software Foundation.

The OS is GNU+Linux, a distro derived from Debian, designed to offer privacy and security features for anyone in a simple package.

You can read the news directly from the Purism website here.

Purism are also behind the Librem 5, a crowdsourced project to make the very first true privacy-focused GNU/Linux smartphone.
